I went to U Kalendu during my trip to Prague, prior to the holiday I scavenged the web to find an intriguing place to go eat something unique and oooooh, I was NOT DISAPPOINTED. Me and my boyfriend basically ordered a bunch of stuff to share, and it was all unbelievable. We started with some amazing bread served with fresh butter which was soft and savory, and I would have had 1000 slices given the chance. The cheese mousse was light and fresh. The stracciatella with the baked beets felt like eating dessert (I still think about that). The boiled eggs and leek were dreamy and the anchovies cream/sauce underneath was... a surprise? I was expecting a fishier" taste but instead it was very delicate and balanced with all the other ingredients.Thank you for accomodating my request for some CABBAGE! I fell in love with cabbage during this trip

Small, cozy restaurant with an interesting and tasty menu. A well done creative gourmet menu. I tried the beef tartar with bone marrow toast and the pork cheeks. It was an explosion of flavors. What a surprise. Friendly staff too. Hidden gem. Highly recommend.

The best food I had during my stay in Prague. You can book a table using their website. The staff wasn't really good and helpful, but they were quite friendly so maybe they were just tired, place was overcrowded that evening.Grilled salad with pistachios and chives emulsion was mind-blowing and duck leg was awesome as well. I'm so glad I found this gem in instagram and saved the placeFresh baked bread and butter were superb

The best food we had during our stay in Prague. Roast duck with black currents and spring onions, salad with pistachios, smoked loach, pickled herring, mashed potatoes, and fresh bread were all very well done!

The food was tasty, and the pork ears are really amazing (must try if not vegetarian). The staff was friendly, but overall the service was not so good. They forgot about an order for drinks, they forgot about one appetizer and brought it with the main dish, they brought one side dish (roasted potatoes) randomly with the appetizer, so they were already cold by the time the main dish came... and so on. We were a larger group, and probably they manage perfectly with smaller groups/couples, but with us, it was kind of chaotic :)Overall, we found the place to be expensive for what it offered...

Fantastic lunch, one of the best I’ve had in Prague. Excellent service. The stracciatella and beets are not to be missed. The pork cheeks and mashed potatoes were delicious as well. The bread, oh my. And don’t miss taking away some fancy bakery items. I will return!
