Tradice Original Czech Restaurant
First day in Prague and wanted to try Czech cuisine, so found this. Amazing food with good quantity. If you are a meat lover, this is a place. Tap beer was also great. Good ambience with nice music. I loved the fact that music was not loud so you can talk. The staff is good with speedy service.

Fast service, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. The beef cheeks were so soft you didn’t even need a knife. The mashed potato has a very good flavor compared to American potato. Everything was flavorful and very easy to chew. Beer went down like water. I love that the restaurant is set in the basement area, gives it a nice vibe.

TLDR; fast food, NO FINESSE, awesome beer, dark cave.If one believed the representation made in the restaurant’s name, they would expect traditional Czech cuisine. Wrong. It’s just ordinary “whatever” that all the pubs offer.NB: Czech pub food is about large portions, lots of fat, carbs and calories, no finesse.The good: the Pilsner Urquell beer was awesome.The less good: the restaurant room has very tiny windows and the interior is painted in dark colours, making the experience rather dark and claustrophobic, unpleasant. This must be the hole where one goes to get drunk. Not a place to eat wonderful food.The food? I ordered the “Myslivecká hovězí pečeně” (roasted beef with dumplings). The only good thing about it was that it was fast.

I made reservation weeks in advance for Friday evening. Couple hours before our reservation I called to inform the restaurant that we might be late for 10-15min. I spoke with multiple people and advised that we do have reservation but only answer I was getting- that they are fully booked and I do not have reservation at ALL. Not sure if thats the missunderstanding due to language or if the employes have no clue what they doing at their job. They did not tried to help, did not listen and kept hanging the phone couple times in the row. I do not recommend book this restaurant if you value your time and nerves :)

Absolutely amazing place, we were looking for traditional Czech quisine and found this restaurant. Ordered several different items —goulash soup, garlic soup, pork knee, ribs. It was all incredibly delicious, and the staff was very friendly. And the beer. Oh THE beer! Also prices are VERY friendly.

Pub like atmosphere with good beer and eats. We ordered the 1/4 duck and the beef cheeks. The 1/4 duck was tender and soft that paired very well with the red cabbage. The beef cheeks were very tender, that you can cut into pieces without a knife. The mashed potatoes were soft and creamy but not dense and heavy. Very tasty meal and beer!
