Welcome to the most infamous supermarket in Brno! While the service has improved since circa 2018, the lines can be pretty long at times, and the selection is reasonable although not entirely spectacular.

Would be ◾ Perfect place to pick up last minute groceries. Especially when you live in SW Brno and walking from Old Town.Unfortunately 3/5 times you can come across VERY rude staff.Bottle recycle machine often is full. Sure happens. But in this shop it can cause a scene: unpleasant communication, which is successful. And then you have to listen to staff members just jelling at each other.Today, just now:When you are lucky enough to have your bottles recycled, be ready that the cashier might make unnecessary sarcastic comments when at the checkout about the amount deduction.And do not let anyone in front of you! You might thing you are being nice, but! This also might confuse staff member and result in more comments and drama.Seems like a lot of simple things are problem to some of the ladies working there.Suggestion: consider change of employment.This is surprising as usually I don't find this kind of bad service in Brno and Czechia. Well...Will avoid this place from now on.

The environment is getting better and they have good vegan section. Long lines for checkout in the crammed space make shopping unpleasant.

This Albert is a health risk, on numerous occasions I have bought vegetables that have been spoiled on the inside without visible mold on the exterior but today I just purchased a yogurt that is meant to expire in 6 days from the day I'm writing this review and as you can see from the photo it has already gone moldy... I hope trading standards visits this place soon.

Not a bad Albert, just make sure to avoid rush hour!

It's a well-known fact that Albert Czech Republic specializes in low quality food and has a very limited variety of products. The only reason why they're getting 2 instead of one star is the introduction of their organic line of foods which is acceptable.

Aimed a bit more at students and young people with a rather good and cheaper fruits and vegetables, an assortment of packed snacks and veggie, fresh or ready meals, the rest is more or less an OK smaller supermarket. I couldn't find a hand disinfection and gloves now. You can pay by card, cash or stravenky" (max.5 for food only)."

Albert's is without a doubt the place to go if you are living in Brno for the summer. Everything is relatively inexpensive and you usually have multiple options for the same type of product at a different price. There is a good alcohol section for beer, wine, and hard alcohol. there is a fresh bread section too which is a nice touch. I am not too sure what else to say because it is a super market that has most everything you will need. And it's right next to a large tram stop so it's easy to get to!

You can find all the basic stuff here , but most of the times is crowded, so you can expect waiting on the cashier cue for few minutes.Shop is small but products are easy to find.
