Very beautiful area

Il secondo cortile del castello ospita edifici e un colonnato per cerimonie, la galleria di dipinti e gli uffici presidenziali per ricevimenti internazionali (come la bellissima sala spagnola che, però, è opera di italiani). La fontana di Kohl è una fontana barocca del 1686 creata dallo scultore Jeronimo Kohl e Francesco Bartolomeo della Torre. Nota anche come fontana di Leopoldo I per l’imperatore dell’epoca. L’acqua proviene da un antico acquedotto del castello. La Cappella della Santa Croce, invece, è un edificio tardo barocco usato oggi per esposizioni. Fu progettata e costruita tra il 1756-1767 da due italiani, usata anche come stazione di polizia. Fu modificata in stile classicista a metà Ottocento e gli interni ulteriormente ridipinti nel Novecento.

Beautiful castle. We didn't go through all the areas nor did we have a guide, but having background information may allow you to appreciate the location more. Still loved it and noticing all the gargoyles on the cathedral was really interesting.

This part of the castle is also very beautiful, if you take public transportation this might be the entrance.

Monumental space

This second patio of the Prague Castle is the starting point which is also the entry to the castle. The patio is large has the reception for tickets and souvenirs shop there. On the left side and corner are usually entries and there is time to time some Art Exhibition and the tunnel on the left hand lead you to the Cathedral St. VITUS and further to the Patio three of the Prague Castle. The best way get to the Second patio of Prague Castle is take a short walk from tram stop Pražský Hrad (tram stop Prague Castle). This is the shorter and easiest way get into the Prague Castle as well.
