Me and fy father on a 4 days vaccination to Prague, Czechia (Czech Republic). We finished it off on the last night by having a wonderful night, eating dinner with some live music, at the White House restaurant on the Old Town Square right across from the Prague Astronomical Clock. Seating at 12th century (~1,190 CE). There we some great atmosphere. We shared a Caesar Salad with Salmon, and a Chicken Schnitzel with mashed potatoes. My dad an appetiser of some Cabbage soup too. And a nice glass of red Merlot wine. We a great service from our waiter Tomas. Had a really lovely time. A wonderful wY to top off a marvelous Trip, to the most beautiful city in Europe. Warmly recommended!

If you do visit this restaurant make sure you ask to go into the cellar because you will have a unique dining experience. The cellar dining room alone is worth 6 stars! It has a 12th century decor. The food was beautiful. The customer service was so good. The staff was friendly and attentive. We felt like dining at home. I strongly recommend this place.

Restaurace White Horse
Located on the Old Town Square, White Horse offers a special cellar-dining experience (you may need a reservation). We descended stairs and found ourselves in a 12th century Romanesque cellar. With live music in the background, we were ushered into a corner booth with a long rectangular table. One side of the booth had a low arched ceiling - be careful or you'll get a nasty bump on your head. A cool space, nevertheless, with a large photo poster of a long staircase descending into a deep, dark cellar.We had the goulash in the bread bowl, a royal skewer (various meats, onion grilled), spaghetti with Guancialle bacon, and schnitzel plate. The food was mediocre at best. There was hardly any bacon in the spaghetti. The schnitzel lacked flavor, as did the mound of mashed potatoes it was served with. The skewer (you get one that is about 8 in long) was similarly basic and flat on flavor. The goulash was the best of this bunch, but even then, it was pretty basic. Maybe this is just how Czech cuisine is, lacking in flavor.Our server was friendly but not very helpful. She handed us iPads with the menus. Except that for some reason we would not access the alcohol menu on the iPad and there was no backup paper copy. So we had to order drinks without knowing the price - always a bad idea. She did not seem to have any recommendations either, so we had to go with what seemed good. The wine was pretty bad. She disappeared for long stretches even though the restaurant was relatively empty when we were there.This place skates by because of its location and unique atmosphere. It could be so much more with more inspired food and service. Yes, dinner was underground in a cellar, but that doesn't mean the experience should feel bottom-of-the-barrel.

I’ve spent almost 3 weeks and Prague and I haven’t had a better meal than I did at this restaurant. Order the skewer or the salmon, both are amazing, mashed potatoes are delicious and Peter, our waiter was funny, incredibly hospitable and a knockout with mum.Highly recommend :))

Restaurace White Horse
We love this restaurant. We eat here whenever we are in town. The Pork Knuckle is the best that we have found. It is tender with a light flavor. It comes with bread, sauerkraut, pickles, peppers, horseradish and mustard. The meal is big enough for us to share. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive and the noise level did not keep us from talking. There is an assortment of furniture with some tables having couch seating in the basement portion of the restaurant.

the food was good, nice place and stuff. Our waiter Barbara was very nice and friendly. I loved her green nails. Little bit expensive, but for the centre of Prague it is usually and worth it
