Richmond Cycles

There are lots of good bike shops in Prague but I was looking for a more personalized approach to upgrading my bike. I chose a small shop in Vinohrady recommended to me by a friend. James, the owner, was so friendly and professional and spent a lot of time with me understanding my wants and needs that I really can't say enough good things about the entire experience. Recommended without hesitation!

I bought this old bike in Budapest and rode it for around 2 years without putting any work into it. When I moved to Prague, I decided to put some money into it to upgrade it. Most bike shops in Prague only deal with higher end/newer bikes, and they did not want to work on mine.Pavel did an amazing job of asking what I wanted for my bike, and what my budget was. Pavel did an amazing job of trying to get me everything I wanted for the bike at the budget I set for it. He even helped me get some parts that are hard to find due to the age of the bike. He was very transparent once he took the bike apart about any other work that needed to be done. Overall, I am really happy with how the bike turned out, and I would highly recommend Richmond Cycles, especially to people who do have older bikes. I took the tour to Karlstejn Castle last summer with Richmond Cycles and it was one of the most beautiful bike rides of my life.The owner, James, was kind and professional and helped to adjust our bikes for our comfort. The bikes looked brand new and rode beautifully. I've rented many bikes in Europe and these were by far the nicest. The tour guide was very accommodating and allowed us to stop to take pictures at the best spots along the way. He answered our questions about life in Prague and we had a nice chat during the ride (3-4 hour ride).The agenda for the day goes something like this: Meet at the shop in New Town, get comfortable on the bikes, meet the tour guide, and start riding. It was a very flat ride next to the river almost the whole way. The ride was 95% on bike paths. We stopped for lunch at the end of the ride before going up to the castle. The tour guide locked our bikes at the bottom of the hill then we walked up to the castle and explored. Finally we rode our bikes to the nearby train station and took a lovely train ride back to Prague.Thanks Richmond Cycles!

I was finishing the Europe bike tour in Prague and was looking for a bike shop who can pack my bike for the flight home. Of all the bike shops that I contacted in Prague only the Richmond Cycles responded. Pavel was very helpful and responsive. He packed my bike quickly and even delivered the box with the bike to the place where I was staying! I am very impressed at the level of the customer service from Richmond Cycles and I highly recommend this bike shop to anyone who is in Prague.

The best bike tour experience ever. Lovely highly informative tour with an excellent service and super new bikes. We called on the day and managed to get an English tour, in the end with just the two of us. The guide was super friendly, funny and very knowledgeable about the history of Carlstajn! We'll rent bikes here again whenever we get back to Praha.

Bikes are brightly new and we had so much fun in Prague. Good value for money, strongly recommended. Excellent service, boys were very friendly and helpful at the shop. Thank you for your help with our small group last week!

Excellent service. I highly recommend visiting this bike shop. Needed a warranty claim on bike part and owner was super helpful and offered me assistance above what I expected. Would give more than 5 stars if could.

I had a great experience with Pavel at Richmond Cycle, Prague. He is very friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to spend time Setting up a high-quality bike for a good fit for you. He even spent time showing me different routes that he uses on Strava. I rented a carbon fiber track cycle for 24 hours, very reasonable, and he included lock, helmet, lights, and time to make sure the bike was properly tuned before I set out the door.If you want to rent a high-quality bike, and considerate to her also, this is definitely a great place to go in Prague!Highly highly recommend

We had an excellent experience with Richmond Cycles. We went on the guided tour to Karelsteijn Castle. Karel was an excellent guide and taught us a lot about Czech history and culture. The bikes were new and clean and ideal for the ride. They went above and beyond to make sure that we had a great experience. We highly recommend their shop and guide service.
