Courtyard by Marriott Brno

Very good hotel in Brno. Location is not very great as It’s more than a Km away from city centre.However, rooms are good and comfortable. I liked the floor heater available in bathroom.Breakfast is very good with good options available.Reception/ lounge area is beautiful.Reception staff is also very polite and courteous.Overall good stay in brno.

What I didn't like: The walls are quite thin. You can hear your neighbours very clearly. The American-style single mattress and single duvet on a double bed is not my favourite setup. I would appreciate info about this on the website, it's not the most common bed arrangement in Czech Republic. And the mattress was very soft. Also, the parking was very confusing, especially when getting out of the underground parking lot. You need to notice a handwritten note on the wall that explains you need to press a specific button to open the gate. Very confusing considering there was no gate coming into the underground parking lot.What I liked: Overall the room was nice, clean, and offered a very nice view of the city. The staff was really nice and helpful even though they charged me for an extra breakfast but that was quickly resolved when I noticed. Speaking of breakfast, I really enjoy buffet-style hotel breakfasts and this one did not disappoint. They have pretty much anything you can think of as shown on my photos. You could probably stay for a week without having to eat the same thing twice. Everything felt fresh and tasted great, with two exceptions. One was scrambled eggs, those seemed like they were made from powdered eggs. And the selection of pastries was really disappointing. It seems like offering higher quality and more interesting pastries or cakes shouldn’t be a problem, especially considering the rich variety and quality of other foods. Such a shame, very close to a perfect hotel breakfast buffet.

Excellent hotel! Very good service, rooms and the hotel restaurant. The public transport to city center is a bit limited but uber is about $4! Not a big deal.

This is without a doubt the nicest Courtyard Marriott property I've ever stayed in and I've been traveling for work for over a decade as a Marriott loyalty points member. Highly recommend this place. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the hotel is beautiful and clean. The rooms are very nice, though a little small but that is common in Europe so expected. Loved my stay and will definitely return.

Rooms are very good. The position is outside the city-centre, good for busses. Service was good, but you haven't the possibility to pay all your drinks when you check out,you have to pay every drink immediately.

Booked a deluxe king room. Room didn't feel particularly deluxe.Bed is comfortable, but sized more like 1.5 twin beds. smaller than a queen bed, much less a king.Fridge doesn't get cold enough for food safety, really only useful for keeping drinks cold.Wall thermostat is a dummy. fan control works, but the temperature dial isn't connected to anything.The restaurant is excellent.

I had a very pleasant stay at the Courtyard. The staff were friendly and attentive, breakfast selection was fantastic and faculties were great.
