LA PETITE CONVERSATION
Staying at Mercure hotel I got the option to have a breakfest bufet for CZK 330. I am not a heavy breakfester and always prefer to go out to test locals. Lapeco was a good option. Just 3 min walk from hotel. Friendly service, good breakfest, nice place. With 2 coffees I paid czk 220. Maybe not a huge difference in price but huge difference to support locals. Well deserved guys. Happy to come again when in Ostrava.

La Petite Conversation is an excellent French restaurant in the heart of Ostrava, with outstanding food. Menus are in Czech, French, and English, and the staff will make their best efforts at communicating in your language of comfort. Strongly recommend for a nice dinner.

Such a lovely place, warm and welcoming. Food was superb. Tasty and so well presented. Staff was very polite and friendly. On the top of that it wasn't expensive, very good value for money. Worth visit when in Ostrava.

A combination of french, belgian and czech cuisine. The menu changes every week and sometimes shows some original dishes. But it's still a little bit expensive.Best fries and mayonnaise of Ostrava btw.

Sorry but dinner entrees and Belgian waffle was not that good. Such a tiny portion of fries with the sandwich. Much better to come for breakfast.

Disappointed - nice place - but the meat balls as specified on the menu are a local dish from Liege - with loads of onions - where in the Flemish part we eat the meat balls in a slightly spicy tomato sauce. I personally feel that it should be mentioned on the menu. Also on a friday evening there was only 1 Belgian beer left - the next load would come monday - So we drunk the local beer which was from a very good brewery . The fries were ok - I expected more from this place - for sure we give it a second try but then the owner should do some efforts to give his menu some update- the desert list was also in my Belgian opinion a fake and missing classical things - as “rijsttaartje or Franchipan taart . A waffle with chocolate or fruits is a tourist change because waffles original you eat simply with sugar.
