Chateau Kotěra Hotel - Restaurant

Quiet place and remote location. Nice rooms, interesting furniture. Polite staff.There is outdoor pool but no whirlpool.For some reason you can’t add restaurant bill to your room bill and you have to pay every single visit or order in the restaurant. The house has interesting history.

For this money a very poor accommodation...The only good thing was the restaurant with delicate food and a lot of drinkable international wine

Actually quite a nice place for a weekend visit. The main chateau has no AC, but there is also a modern building with all amenities. The restaurant is wonderful, good service and tasty, well constructed dishes. The pool is nice as well. We borrowed some bikes to get to a local pub, something around 4k away. Not the easiest trip, but a bit hilly. But all in all, its a nice area to explore and the chateau is a good base to get around from.

Stains on rug, yes. Modern, yes. Kind of funky, yes. Hotel is not bad and honestly, I have had much worse for far more money.Restaurant worth the trip, btw. Had dinner, so amazing, takes forever though. You must pay seperate from room and only in Crowns or credit card. No Euros,

It’s a wonderful concept - the “modern” take on the separate building than the chateau was great as it allows you to have your own patio. We were lucky to also have friendly staff during our stay for a night. 4 stars for overall concept and ambience, restaurant and delicacies, general amenities but for an all rounder score, the building could use some maintenance to back up the chateau’s prestige.

You can find here really great food. For ovwrnigth staying it s really cool (there is many wines to choose), rooms are clean, comfortable, you don t need anything more. You can walk aroud the chateau for a tour and you ll see czech nature everywhere. It s also recomended for bussiness meeting..

We booked 10 rooms about 6 months ago and the hotel cancelled on shortly before our wedding under reasons that they made up (electricity shutdown Blabla) - clearly a Hotel you cannot rely upon!! Our guests a furious, it’s high season!

So, this is kind of rollercoaster experience. From internet, the site looks like a luxury place and this is what you get.. for first two minutes until you arrive at reception with missing receptionist. She will take you to the side building with no relation to unique architecture, with modern-like rooms with spots on carpet, dirty siphon and broken glass on terrace. When you get over these weird things, you'll see that bed is nice, prices in minibar more than reasonable and there are some other good things. We had a dinner at Kutná Hora, can't say anything about the kitchen, but breakfast was mediocre.Generally, big disappointment, but price is great and there are some good things.

A very pleasant place away from the city. For a quiet and peaceful weekend.
