With a lot of respect I passed the consultations plus eyes surgery and I must say that I have never seen such a professionalism, expertize and value which came out from the process. 20 years of issues with long-term visibility plus astigmatism have been resolved in few minutes when I woke up the day after the surgery into a completely new world full of 8K resolution. No pain, no troubles by second day after the surgery. Lot of patience and no other words to share … 150% recommended

I went to Prague from Germany to have the laser surgery. If you don't want to read through everything: I highly recommend the clinic and even if there are some areas for improvement I did feel very safe and in good hands!I had a lot of respect for the surgery and reading reviews and experiences helped me a lot, so here is mine (it's a long one). First, I'll write a review (+ positive, #area for improvement) then a bit about the process itself for future patients.Review:+ Perfect outcome of the surgery - couldn't be happier+ their approach and time management and how all information is available on their website. Monday: Pre-op examination, Tuesday: Surgery starting from 3pm, Wednesday morning: Post-op examination+ The communication was fast and friendly (thanks Barbora) and informed - not just someone trying to sell you a surgery+ Short term appointments sometimes available+ Friendly receptionists, super friendly and sweet nurse+ I got handed a document which explained the whole procedure step-by-step. This helped a lot to calm the nerves.+ Absolutely amazing treatment by Dr. Novák# You're supposed to pay for the examination first thing, which is fine! I just wish had been communicated more clearly in an email for example.# The final decision about the surgery and the chosen method was not well communicated and explained (after pre-op examination). I asked multiple questions and followed up, which was handled perfectly and I got answers.# I didn't connect that well with the doctor doing the examination and it felt a bit rushed# The receptionists handed me the contract to sign. I had a few questions about it but they had no idea about anything. I don't think they have to be experts but at least have some idea.Experience:The first part examination is similar to the ones at a optician. Looking into some machines which do measurements. For the second part you'll get some drops to open the pupils and a doctor examines the eyes further (bring sunglasses for afterwards). You're then expected to sign the contract about the surgery, go home and come back for the appointment the next day.First, I had to pay for the surgery. I used different cards which was no issue at all. The surgery schedule starts at 3pm every Tuesday and I think it's great to have it in the afternoon (more later). Then, the process of getting 8 different numbing eye drops. You also get a pill to keep you calm. The nurse did an excellent job and has a calm but uplifting spirit at the same time.I got two kind of drops with instructions and some eye patched to use for the first two nights. During that process I met the surgeon (Dr Petr Novák) which instantly gave me a good feeling about the whole surgery.Later, I was walked into the surgery room and the surgeon talked me through every step that was happening which was very helpful and calming. In the end the procedure was very quick and not as frightening as many think. Afterwards I should sit with closed eyes for about 30 min (I even was offered tea and cookies). Then, the Dr. Novák did a first examination if everything went alright.After that I was free to go to the hotel. As I was by myself I called a Bolt (a little bit difficult to see, but it worked). I believe every experience is different but my eyes started being itching and started to hurt after about 3 hours after the surgery. It was barely possible to open the eyes to do anything but you shouldn't plan to do anything anyways. I then took the provided painkiller and went to sleep.The next day my eyes were dry but I used the drops and it was fine. I could walk to the clinic for the checkup and already see fine! definitely recommend using sunglasses for the sun and dust.Dr. Novák carried out the examination and said that everything went smoothly and I could already see 100%, which was amazing to hear. I had a bunch of questions which were all answered with calm and I didn't feel rushed in any way.Now, a month after the surgery, I couldn't be happier! It's amazing to see without glasses

After tons of research 3 of us decided to go to Prague to have lens replacement surgery. We also decided to make a vacation out of it. So we traveled to germany and prague for an amazing vacation also.Back to eye surgery, the entire process from the first email communication to the day we walked out after the 2nd eye was complete was flawless!! Dr. Novak was great! He clearly explained everything and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We all ended up getting the top of the line multi lens which ran about $2500 USD for both eyes. The same Johnson & Johnson lens here is the USA ran about $16,000 USD for both eyes.What a deal plus Dr. Novak was more experienced than any eye doctor i have ever visited in the US.His staff all spoke english and were so kind and treated us like family, We definitely miss them.The facility was extremely clean.I am 2 weeks post and my vision is amazing, no more reading glasses, i have to lower the fonts on my iphone. Amazing no regrets. I can actually see at night driving now.Since my return i have so many co-workers and friends asking me about the process and wanting to plan a trip to prague to see Dr. novak...I tell them all, I have done all the guess work for everyone in the USA . My lengthy research on the procedure and the facility and the doctor has already been accomplished. I have paved the way i think for everyone to save a lot of money and also have an amazing vacation. Prague is beautiful :)

I had upper eye lift surgery has I had hooded eye lids (which I always have had). Age had made them worse but for years I have had issues such as sore eyes irritated rubbing them also blepharis since I had this surgery done no issues with my normal irritations But most of all I can not thank the staff on every level for the care and treatment they gave me from enquiring to going on my own to have it done Amazing would recommend and will to friends and family (I was recommended) and it is the best thing I have done for myself.

My wife and I traveled to Prague in April to have laser surgery done for both of us. I couldn't say anything but good things about them. Great communication, very professional, wait times are short and just overall great experience. We arrived a few days early, so we have some time to tour (first time in Prague), did our checks on a Monday, surgery on Tuesday, post surgery on Wednesday, and done. Was able to drive us myself back to the airport the very same Wednesday.We were both a little scared to do it, especially at the same time and and we were well assured by the team and felt much more comfortable once seeing the place and meeting the surgeon.They did the test on my eyes like 10 different times because they weren't happy with some of the initial readings, then the surgeon himself came and redid all the checks to be sure and satisfied with the results, we weren't just rushed through in order to have our money taken.We're both super happy with our results, near perfect vision for both when I had around -5.00 in both eyes and my wife -3.00.Would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to do laser.

I would like to praise the great work of Refractive Center Prague doctors and employees. I underwent FemtoLasik eye surgery in December last year and it exceeded my expectations. To begin with, Mr Novak, my operative doctor, is a very professional eye surgeon, and was treating my eyes extremely gently. The operation itself was quite quick and I did not have any scary side effects I was reading on the Internet. My vision was 100% the next morning after operation, I could not believe it was as easy as that. The clinic provides you with all needed instructions and answers your questions (thank you Barbora) during the recovery period, so if you follow the guidelines, you will be fine. Interestingly enough, in a few days I forgot that I ever wore glasses in my life. Now it feels like my vision has been great from the beginning. Thanks for improving the quality of my life and making me enjoy the world with a clear vision.All the best to your team!

I have recently undergone lens replacement surgery with this clinic. The staff there are professional and charming. I was well informed of the procedure and choices I needed to make prior to surgery. The process went without any hitches and my sight is improved and improving on a daily basis. So far so good, I am a happy customer!

In my opinion, Dr Novak is an incredibly professional and skilful eye surgeon. In fact, the whole team at the RCP are efficient, helpful and professional. I am extremely pleased with the results of my refractive lens procedure and love not having to depend on glasses for reading etc. Many thanks and continued success to everyone at the Centre.

Excellent experience . No longer need glasses at less than a third of the price I would have paid in UK. Dr.Novak's skill is second to none. Grateful thanks.
