Beautiful yet so tragic.. this sculpture is made by czech sculptor Olbram Zoubek who coworked with architects Zdeněk Hölzlem and Jan Kerel, it's great an example of new figuracion, they're try to capture the state of person to its time period and waiting for worlds reaction.

Although a lot of people simply walk here to photograph the sculptures, it is also important to look at the inscription at the bottom of the staircase, which details (in numbers) the amount of people who were negatively impacted by communism.Coming at night, an eerie feeling crept upon me, but it also helped me to take more time to understand and learn about the struggles of those who came before.

Interesting monument located on stairs at the bottom of the park near to the roadside. Worth a visit to look at and reflect.

I loved this memorial, it is simple, well executed and free. Is not easy to find something free in Prague...I recommend the visit if you are a tourist and you walk close to this place!

It shows six bronze copies of a single individual, standing on a flight of stairs, each statue in a different stage of the individual's destruction. The statues appear more decayed" the further away they are from you - losing limbs and their bodies breaking open. It symbolises how political prisoners were affected by Communism.There is also a bronze strip that runs along the centre of the memorial
