I am very disappointed and as a long-term client I just deleted the profile and uninstalled the application. Communication with CRM is blunt with no attempts to resolve the situation other than sending high invoices. My 350CZK ride cost at least 2200 CZK more. The car use was terminated, parked in the correct zone, the handbrake on, lights off, but apparently the automatic transmission was still on R, and when the car was locked, it flashed but did not lock, however I was not aware. In the morning I see a 4 hours package ride + the fine. I emailed CRM to check if there was a mistake. CRM sent me back a dry response with an invoice and a link to the terms & conditions and a scolding list of what I did wrong. Sort of ´Here is the fine because you made a mistake, read the T&C and if you want to cancel the profile, do it through the system and not with us by email´. I recommend updating your application as I am comparing the APP with atleast 5 other carsharing companies I use in Europe, where the car alerts you with audio (horn) and flashing (blinkers) not allowing the rental to end + a pop-up or push notification in the application with what needs to be addressed (i.e. handbrake, gear, etc.). I didn't like to pay the fine but I did it immediately + canceled my profile. Such an approach unacceptable to customers that uses your services for several years.Since I wasn´t able to respond on another local site that restricted the post, I prefer to write my review here as I have a local guide badge with Gogloe Maps.Re:Car4Way.There was no alert (loud horn) when the car was locked as you suggested. The same did not happen when I attempt to end the reservation on my mobile. Your App UI (Start / End use) is too slow as it was created as an after thought and an add-on from an earlier period where a card was used to lock and unlock the cars placing it on the window shield sensor, so you are perfectly aware, that it does not behave in a brisk way + the screen reverts to normal after closing a booking which could cause confusion.I would recommend improving some features of the outdated App by adding more prominent notifications through active OnScreen dialogs. Your suggestion to check my email to see the final bill as a control step seems like an unnecessary step to me if the UI and UX responds more actively to status changes. Email should not be a control entity for active use of the vehicle but only an after summary.I recommend a simple procedure:1. When I click to close the active car usage, OnSelect will display a dialog (pop up window) as a step with a clear warning that it is not possible to end this active usage and the 'reason'.2. Once the driver fixed the issue, the App OnSucess or OnFailure application will ReCheck the status and then decide whether to send a push notification and activate an audio / visual alert of the car itself so that the driver knows what is happening and make the action needed to close th usage properly.For me the case is closed, profile deleted and I am using competition, where the approach is friendlier and have actual human communication over the phone and willingness to listen and resolve issues (and far more eco-friendly cars and better safety features in their APP protecting them as well as the drivers).No system is perfect, even if you think yours is and that only the drivers make mistakes. I hope that my suggestions would be taken as such and in good spirit.Thanks a lot

Never been treated worse by any company. Looks modern from the outside but inside it is neck-deep in the past era. In short - I had to pay 400% of my invoice after 9 days of a rental. Calls or complains didn't help. And I had been a customer for 4 years. I don't recommend, there are alternatives in Prague.

Useless. Not welcome to foreigners you have permanent residency or not you need to pay 10,000 CZK deposit to be their customers. There are so many cheaper and affordable option in Prague. no deposit needed. I do not recommend anyone dealing with car4 way. Time to close this down.

I hired the service from Airport the customer representative assured me I could use the service to my destination (Prague 10).Once I reached my destination I realized I am 1KM away from the service area and I call customer service choosing English as my language ( They do not speak English or pretend they don't) Richard Havranek tells me that because I am parked outside the coverage area I need to pay 1300 CZK which I object mention the sales person at the airport assured me I would be cover if you it would be pointless to use this service. Richard decides to put the blame on me an says its my fault for not reading Czech and understanding their Rules, which I find a sort of fraud as the sales person claims he doesn't have English documents and since you are in need of the car you trust him.So my piece of advise would be if you do not speak Czech do not hire this service because they will try to rip you off with hidden fees.I decided to drive the car to the coverage area and drive a taxi back to my destination which was not payed by CAR4WAY and submit a cancelation to get my deposit back.At this point I been charged 1000.00 CZK hiring fee 10,000.00 CZK Deposit, 650.00 CZK for a ride from the Airport to Prague 10 and 150.00 CZK for Uber to my residence.I received an email asking for account number and decide to call them to clarify this as the sales person at the airport mention they would puy a hold for 10,000.00 CZK and when I want to cancel they just need to release it.The second time I call your call centre and choose English as Language I found again the most incompetent customer service associated (Richard Havranek) making fun and laughing at me, accusing me that I am wrong and that I need to send email on Czech when I do not speak the language.I live in Dubai for the last 10 years and I have travel to every country in the world using similar services around the globe I have never been treated in such disrespectful manner and is a shame that when your country is suffering of lack of tourism you are not ensuring customers are treated properly.I will make sure to share this complaint all across all social media platforms and take it as further as possible.As I requested before I want to cancel the service with you and get the deposit back to my credit card.Regards,Emmanuel Barcenas

Service started out well and have been using it since 2019. There have been 3 price increases in the past three years and the rate now is by far the most expensive I have used in Europe and is now even more expensive than the likes of Zipcar in the States. (Was a long term customer there) Customer service is appalling, even though they say that they offer services in English I can never get an English speaker on the phone to help me when I have an issue. Be careful also with any glitches with key cards as I have been overcharged many hours for saying I didn't lock the car despite doing so. Sadly another company that is greedy and couldn't care less about the customer. Pick another car sharing service in Prague...plenty to chose from with more reasonable rates and that will value you as a customer. Basic manners are also not a requirement for car4way staff either it seems.

Awful mobile app and trying to charge an unprecedented deposit fee of 10000kč during the registration process. I used many car sharing services in different countries and this is not how it’s supposed to be really. Gave up trying to register.

I've been using Car4way since 2017 and I have been fairly satisfied with their services (despite all non-transparent pricing and hidden costs), until last week when I had an unexpected situation where not only I was charged for the service that I didn't use, but I also had the worst experience with their customer support agent who instead of showing support, empathy and understanding for the situation, was very aggressive, criticizing and condescending. In today's competitive market that is completely unacceptable. I have already found better service provider with much better pricing and services which I will happily switch to.

Spent my time reading their TOS and registering, ended up with a requirement to pay a 10000 CZK bail. Nobody in their right mind would pay a 400 EUR bail when there are so many alternatives in Prague. Even before you're registered, you can see how they treat their potential customers, no wonder why they got a 2/5 rating

I've been using Car4Way since 2018, I always found the service pretty good and the cars are nice, clean and well maintained. Today, October 2022, they sent me an email saying there is a damage on a car that I rented in March 2022 (7 months after I closed the rental of that car!) and they are blaming me for that. They say that I had an accident (in their opinion the damage occurred while I was driving) and I haven't reported it. This is very far to be true, I've never had an accident with any of their cars and they are now saying that I will be charged for the full cost of the repair.

I rarely write the bad reviews, but unfortunately it is time.I used to be very loyal customer of CAR4WAY for 2 years, using it almost every day.Until several things happened lately:1) They threatened me with the fine in a very rude manner for using the car which was not fueled enough. The previous customer left it like this and I only needed it for 10 minutes. So I suggested it was not my responsibility to fuel it. However, according to the CAR4WAY’s amazing invention, it is the customer’s responsibility to go to the gas station and fuel the un-fueled car. They don’t hide the un-fueled car from the users map, but rather wait for the next (and maybe next and next) customer to start using it and then threaten them with the fines. Bravo!2) I took the car for 30 minutes and forgot to close it. Genuinely my mistake. However they didn’t call me and it stayed opened for 8 hours. Forty minutes would be 200-300 CZK. They have the package for 8 hours which costs ~1500 CZK.However, the big and progressive company don’t have enough technology to AUTOMATICALLY calculate and apply the packages after the ride. Each time you take the car you have to PREDICT how much time you’ll use it and if you don’t predict correctly, prepare for the money loss. So they charged me 4000 CZK. Contacting the support didn’t help.3) Similar situation as 2) but this time their laggy application didn’t work properly and didn’t close the car. They called me and said the car is still in use. When I told them I genuinely pressed the “finish” button they said it’s not true and there’s nothing they can do. No packages, no discounts, no options no nothing. Another 1000 CZK gone.I deleted the app and started using the alternatives. Never using it again.Unless I’m getting some kind of apology and proper customer care, which is very unlikely of course.
