This pub is a step back in time. Literally nothing has changed here for a while. Including the underpants of the regulars ;-)The beer can be EXCELLENT but the food can be very hit-or-miss. Including some suspicious illness contracted by my colleague.

This place is the living proof that Prague, despite all the efforts, still has some very solid remnants of the Soviet era: shabby early 80's decor, a waitress that behaves more like she's in a funeral parlor than in a bar, and scattered, swollen leg dudes drinking beer all day long (really cheap, and good) all laced with a persistent, if rather unpleasant cigarette smell. The food? Communist to a T: cheap as cheap can be, but barely edible. 5 stars because that's exactly the experience I was looking for. Definitely worth a visit. That is if you can assimilate the Stalinist mindset and the omnipresent 'locals only' feel. Bring your phone, as you will need to google everything since nobody speaks a drop of English.

Can't get more Czech than this!!!! it's not like the touristy ones in the centre, if you are near I highly recommend it, 2 main dishes (very nicely cooked) and 2 beers around 8 euros!!!!

Aging interior, average food. Side dishes might be more diverse (not only potatoes and dumplings)

Not so fancy pub, but there is cheap beer and very cheap food for pub in Prague...meal was suprisingly tasty, so I couldnt recomend it for a romantic dinner, but if you want to hang out with buddies...

The classic spartan Czech pub, very good the price. It s not good as a restaurant but to eat something fast for lunch during the break from work or study is perfect.Anyway the food is not bad but very simply.

Service was not good. Food is average, but took too long to get to our table. Prices are cheap in general. No English spoken. I believe there are better places to eat nearby.

4 stars for authenticity. Typical old school Czech pub like 20 years ago - nothing fancy. Cheap Czech meals, great beer, pretty fast service, people from all walks of life visiting after work, TV with sport constantly running. This pub does not pretend anything, it's a pub and you are welcome no matter who you are. Like it there.
