Hrad Špilberk

The park and castle grounds offer spectacular views of the city, for miles in every direction if you're willing to do a little walking. We were here in winter so it was rather cold (0C/32F) so bundle up as the wind can get a bit chilly.We did the casemates/prison self guided tour, the maps and guides are offered in many languages. For this tour I would recommend paying the extra few Crowns for a tour guide as the prison can be dark and you will find yourself hovering around the lights to read about the points of interest. As it was winter, the most interesting part for me was learning about how they provided heat to the prisoners.

The castle is beautiful and modern. The entire city can be admired from the tower. With the FREE telescope in the tower, we can admire every little detail. During the seasonal holidays, they areholding programs for the children where they can also receive gifts.

Good spot while visiting Brno in winter rainy days as we did. We spent there - exploring castle and its exhibitions at least 3 hours. It's worth of visit.

Great sightseeing spot to go to. It is right next to multiple sightseeing spots. On the top there is a bar with great bartender and the drinks are really nice. Right under the Castle is an nuclear fallout shelter also worth seeing. We did not get s tour but the public areas around the castle are really beautiful.

Lovely park and castle; this is a super little hill fort, great views of Brno from the top and lovely green spaces and walks around the hill. Definitely worth an explore.

A must see when you come to Brno. You will have a wonderful time as you explore all the things the Castle has to offer. You have beautiful views of Brno and great picture taking opportunities!

Definetely worth a visit but more as a walk around rayher than going inside. The castle is much more impressive from the outside than inside as well as bery is a well groomed park around it with beautiful panoramic views of the city.

A stunning view of the city! After the hike uphill we had a really amazing beer. Very worth the visit!
