Features currently a thoughtful exhibition on the intertwined lives of Germans and Czechs in Bohemia throughout the centuries highlighting the cross-pollination but also the subjugation of one group over the other up until its violent rupture. Well presented and guided by a competent and engaged staff. Highly recommended, but bring the better part of a day to do the exhibition justice. Will definitely return for more.

Pretty cool place, I've been here several times, they really seem to take care of the place and the expositions are very nicely done. Sometimes they have theatre people to play there, it's worth seeing.

Nice local museum in a beautiful mid-/late-19th century style building. There is an extensive and very nicely done exhibition on 'our Germans', chronicling the way in which German and Czech speaking inhabitants of what is now Czech Republic lived together and how economies, politics and (mostly) cultures intersected. Outside of that rotating exhibitions. There was a nice one on a local photographer documenting the region in the 1960s and '70s. Well worth a visit when visiting northern Bohemia (which is a beautiful region in general)

Surprisingly good and large regional museum. If you can't speak German or Czech you won't be able to understand the main exhibition.

I recommend this museum to all who are visiting this town. Currently here is the interactive exhibition of sand, wonderful for kids and their parents :)
