Aus Zeitmangel konnte ich leider nur die kurze Führung für das Kaiser Spa mitmachen, aber es war alleine schon beeindruckend dieses mondäne Gebäude betreten zu dürfen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und es gibt Führungen in mehreren Sprachen zu 15 oder 45 Minuten. Ein weiterer Grund Karlsbad erneut zu besuchen...

Krásná stavba s bohatou historií jednoznačně spjatá s naším regionem. Prohlídková trasa má však ještě své mouchy, průvodci jsou nekoordinovaní, příliš nám toho nepověděli a i interiéry jsou zatím poměrně prázdné. Vzhledem k jiným památkám v ČR v poměru “cena x výkon” si myslím, že je vstupné poměrně vysoké..

It is an absolutely wonderful visit if you are near karlovy vary. The building itself stands majestic in the middle of two of the most expensive hotels in the town. This is a wonderful building and it can be visited for 50 KČ. The interior needs restoration but gives you a good idea of the grandeur of this emperor's spa. Not all the rooms are open to the public but they are mostly all similar bathrooms. On the first floor the big room has panels explaining what it was: a kind of gym with curious apparatus for medical workout. Very interesting.

Císařské lázně - Lázně I.
Museum with 50Kc entrance fee where you can see the interior of former spa which was opened in the 19th century. The first floor is in better condition, you can see the former ballroom (still in pretty good condition). The rest of the building requires renovation. However, before the reconstruction happens, you have a chance to catch the authentic picture. The whole tour takes not more than half an hour.
