Hotel Avion

Unique place, butique hotel, restored to the original 1928 style. Great view, great windows from the top rooms. The restaurant and breakfast is just in a cafe downstairs, the generous lobby restaurant is still waiting for opening.

Amazing hotel, real germ, location is brilliant right on the high street close to all landmarks.

Where to start. The Air Conditioning didn't work in the room. None of the staff could fix it and one said hopefully it starts working". Had to keep the window opened the whole time and there was a family of pigeons making noise all night

I was staying in the Hotel Avion for four nights during a business trip because the place I normally stay at was fully booked.I arrived with the car and parked in the public garage 5 minutes from hotel.The small lobby area is ok, the check-in was smooth and friendly with the basic information regarding breakfast, WiFi etc given directly.Staff was really friendly!With an elevator you are being taken to the floor with your respective room.The room itself was a mixture of a bit old fashioned with an approach to the modern. Not really my kind of style but still unique.The bed was quite comfortable. Only the pillows could have been more cozy.WiFi was ok. Not that fast but stable at least.Anyway for 3, 4 nights it worked.The 'view' from my room was practically not existing. Just to the back of the hotel towards the walls of other buildings.The bathroom is only separated by a glass wall. Might be bothersome to some when you are not traveling alone but with your partner.Unfortunately the silicone joints where not 100 % perfect. So after showering a part of the carpet in the room was actually wet.The breakfast was quite ok given the fact how small the hotel is. Not the biggest variety but still ok to start the day.Would I choose that hotel again? If my regular hotel is available - no.Is the Hotel Avion a bad hotel? Not at all, really unique, but you have to get used to it.

It is a nice hotel in 1920/1930 style in the inner City of Brno. It is for sure interesting for architects as the hotel is special.Booking included breakfast, which was quite a lot, but offerered somehow loveless (e. g. not everybody likes sweet cereals only) additionally it often took quite some time until fruits, bread and cheese got renewed at the Buffet. The rooms are small, but nicely arranged and seemed to be New.Hotel spreads an old flair which gives it a certain good Character.Overall i liked the hotel at a very good location in the inner City. I recommend that location.

I haven't stayed at the place, but I visited a commented tour that introduced the place to visitors. This place is a gem, architecturally speaking. The commented tour included the history, the idea behind the design, construction and later reconstruction of the place, and the future plans with the hotel.If I traveled with someone, I would make sure that the room where we stay has a bathroom with a door. That's just because we visited some room at the tour and it didn't have the door. This is the original concept, not a fail, and it doesn't apply to all the rooms. If I traveled alone, this wouldn't be a problem.The café and restaurant at the place were not open yet at the time of my visit, but they should by by now. I'm very much looking forward to return back because of that.In any case, I recommend to stay at the place, it's interesting. And if you are local, try at least the commented tour. You will learn a lot of interesting things and experience something unique.I visited the restaurant of the place the other day with my friend, and I must say, the restaurant offers really amazingly tasting meals. I especially recommend some meal with the restaurant's homemade pasta. I had spaghetti carbonara and I was very satisfied with that.Too bad that the restaurant is no open on Sunday, but maybe people don't know about it that much yet. What I've noticed is that the restaurant is on food delivery services, so if you don't manage to visit it personally, maybe you can try and order something to eat at home.

Loved this hotel. Came by half an hour before check in stops just before midnight. Receptionist got me a room pretty quickly. Very modern yet stays true to the history of the building. It has everything you could want from a 4 star establishment. The views from the terrace and the café downstairs is simply amazing. If you come to Brno you have to stay at least a night !
