This is a lovely, friendly bookshop with a huge range of Czech language books, with a focus on academic and non-fiction books. There is, however, a well-chosen selection of English language fiction, covering a range of genres and formats, including a section just for English translations of Czech authors. Always worth a visit.

A lovely medium sized bookshop. There’s a section next to staircase, where they offer discounted items. Once a while I leave with a gem book that costs 20-100 CZK.

Very nice and quiet cafe in Václav square.Coffee was good.The place very nicely designed and quiet with some nice tunes.Staff was really friendly.And the prices are very logical.I recommend a visit.

Fun coffee shop on the second floor. Sitting on a balcony with an espresso and watching the busy life on Václav square... Priceless

Great bookstore and even better cafe on the first floor. Order inside and the staff will take your order to the balcony. The balcony has a great view of Wenceslas Square. Here you can enjoy Julius Meinl coffee and also various sweets (cakes, cheesecake, pastries). Sandwiches are also available.

One of my favourites places in Prague. A delightful selection of English books is available on the ground floor. The cafe on the second floor is outstanding with a beautiful panorama over Wenceslav Square.

When at Wenceslas Square, look up at about the halfway point and you'll see a terrace attached to a bookstore. Go on up and find the cafe, order a drink (coffee or bottled beer and cider, cash only) and go enjoy a great, relaxing view from the terrace! Totally recommend this beautiful place!

The bookstore is phenomenal in its scope. The judaica section is vast, there is a large selection of books on chess, and there are multiple postcard racks. Books are in Czech and English.
