Koleje Strahov - Blok 11 & 12

50 years old dorm. The entire building, including rooms, is in terrible condition.

This building is quite old but better quiet and calm than other block. Some of the facilities are old but rent is also quite cheap.

If you visit Prague without family and only with friends, then it would be a great place with reasonable price to stay overnight.

Not great, not terrible. I don`t want to imagine how actually living here can feel, but for 1-2 nights this can be an okay hostel if you`re on a budget. The coridor looks like a prison, but the toilet is clean enough and there is toilet paper and soap (which would never happen is a Hungarian dorm). The wifi is strong enough for facetime and the like but I would not try streaming a movie on it. The old town is 20-30 minutes away on foot, the bus stop for the airport is a corner away and there is a surprisingly well equipped shop on the other side of the car park. The receptionist does not care who comes or goes and gives the keys out without chencking your name so if you have a lot of valuable stuff this might not be the best place for you.

Its nice in general but the building are not new and the rooms are quite small.but the prices are really low and the staff is so friendly

I have lived here for 5 years now. Look. Strahov is a Soviet built place, nowadays used as a student dormitory. Taken modern living standards into account, it is a rather dirty place with small rooms, bathrooms shared with whole floor and furniture older than you, I bet my wallet. But the more time I spent here, I realized there is a lot of students like me with similar interests around. Want to go to a bar? There is like 10 bars in under 500m. Feel like creating a student band? There are 3 music rooms with various equipment, many music oriented people here. Feel like camping in your room for 3 months and studying day-night for an exam from hell? Most blocks have their own study rooms + modern Nat Tech Library 15 min by bus. Whether you want to throw the biggest party since the invention of alcohol, sit in your room and write code for SpaceX, join a soccer team of your level or just meet new people and chill sometimes, Strahov is a place to go. It is also a very budget friendly option. Sure, after graduation I want to live somewhere else and have my comfort. But during my studies, Strahov is ideal. It has its own league, it is an ecosystem. Strahov, more than just a dorm <3P.S.: for short stays, it is a budget friendly option for non demanding people, 20 min from Old Town center (Staroměstská).

Hello dear. This two block Are in my live since i was 15 years old. On block 12, was a little bar, And when i see interier, i like. On block 11, was a disco club. Floor -1. Today was here bar, table fotbal And chill out with sofa. Music Is on jukebox And when have a coin, you can by a DJ. .

Great price but don't think you will be on Wi-Fi for more thsn a minute at a time unless you sit at reception

its oldest block of all, but i like it , because of so many things, there is a nice club in the basement too, club 001
