Buried deep in the middle of Czech countryside, there is this portal to France, offering exquisite selection of carefully prepared and choice balanced dishes. I would not describe it primarily as a bistro, the courses here ask for some time to enjoy and can be topped with wide selection of desserts.If you manage to get a booking (it's run by a small team and only during limited hours, my casual booking took three seasons worth attempting to get a table), take some time to enjoy not only the great food, but also the calming atmosphere of the entire place. Friendly staff, plenty of space for kids, in rainy weather enough space to dine inside. If lucky with good weather, the garden with a pond view is just a cherry on top.

As close to France as it gets in South Bohemia. All food prepared to perfection, super friendly service wit Mr Papa personally in the kitchen, beautiful garden with a pond view. Perfect for a family celebration or gourmet stop on a way through the country.

Terrible and rude service.We came without reservation here and it was only half full, reservation or no reservation.Waitress said that we can’t have anything from kitchen. Only cakes and coffee and she was very rude.It looks like that this restaurant can’t works in full quest capacity.It used to be great place, but now it’s not worth visiting.

Excellent food, excellent location and excellent service, all for a very reasonable price (three courses for 2 persons with wine and coffee for 1100 czk in our case). Highly recommended!

Really great dishes and fabulous dessert (forrest gateaux). I would like to know the recipe for the pickled carrot which was with rabbit pate.And warm greetings with smile from the owner.Great experience, thank you and I wish you well

We had a great dinner if three parts. For appertizers we got snails and kiš and they were great. The lunch had only three choices and all sounded good, the Zander fish with Safran risotto was great. For a desert we got creme brule, it was fresh and delicious.

Terrible service. We came to the restaurant and they said they were full and that they are not even able to serve coffee…That they did not have capacity for making coffee when the restaurant was half empty….also they were rude.

Enfin! A real french restaurant, the same one my grand parents used to take me and my mom every Sunday when I was kids, the food was excellent. Not too fat, tasty, good proportion, and more than enough choice. Place is warm, you can feel a kind of family atmosphere and that Chef Rémi really put his passion in every course. In addition the restaurant is next to a small lake with view on the sunset. We will definitely go back in spring or summer to enjoy an after meal walk, and why not to sleep there.
