It was lovely to visit the zoo mid week and out of season as it was the least crowded I've ever seen it. Loved the giraffes. I'm pleased that Prague zoo seems to be investing a lot of time and effort in improving exhibitions and conditions for the animals.

Everyone should visit this zoo. It's run by very caring people. So many animals to see.

The Prague zoo among the best zoos in the world and the African house is no exception. The animals are well taken care of they have a large space, certainly outside and are visibly healthy and judging by the amount of offspring also quite happy where they live.The enclosures are beautiful and meant for the animals with the human visitors coming second, of course with a good view but also with places for the animals to hide or to get far away from the crowds.For anyone with kids, if you want to be sure that they have a great time the Prague zoo is worth it. Keep in mind though it is a big zoo and there is a pretty big height difference between the lower and upper parts of the zoo. So be prepared to walk quite a bit including up and down hills.

I was blown away by this african safari exhibit! A huge variety of animals in a massive area, and we were able to view from a balcony above. Due to the size of the area available to the animals, some were quite far away and hard to see. But the heard of giraffe were close to the balcony at the time and they were the main thing I wanted to see so I was very happy.I felt like I was in the lion king movie standing on pride rock.
