“You never get a second change to make a first impression” – a famous saying, fixed in a title page of Facevision (aka Identity) and unfortunately, this statement has been ruined by the clinics itself.One google star in this review rests on three main whales - lack of organization, miscommunication between the surgeon and administration, and the fact that I’ve lost 4K into the thin air.I have called to book an appointment for an orthognathic consultation. During initial talk with a secretary, we’ve found out that standard panoramic teeth X-ray is not sufficient, and for the purposes of a substantive consultation I’ll have to make a skull RTG for a price of 950,- CZK directly in the clinic, which I have agreed to.Consultation was scheduled for the late hours, past 7 pm. Once I arrived to the clinic, I was surprised by two facts – firstly, the absence of drinking water for the patients, and secondly, that consultation with a previous patient was happening with an opened door which turned personal medical story into a public one.Mr. Foltán was evidently exhausted, I’d even say drained out (probably was performing an operation that day) and not showing a tiny bit of interest. He has asked me about teeth casts and computer tomography, which I obviously did not have with me as I was simply NOT AWARE these will be necessary. And just like that, the consultation could not factually happen, as there was no material to analyze. This was followed by demonstration of demo Dolphin videos - I am quite capable of opening the clinic's website and watching publicly available content myself. The price of a consultation is 3860 CZK, it lasted 10 minutes, had no practical outcome at all. I have been charged the whole price.Mrs. Zelenková in administration, from the other side, is a very pleasant person who made an effort to help me afterwards, by offering a rollback to the greener past and proposing a second consultation for free, once I’ll provide CT (3810,- Kc) and 2D Dolphin modeling (7720,- Kc). The issue here is, that if this a common approach, I have huge doubts and trust issues in terms of solving potential complications with a surgery, in case those occur.This whole situation has caused a huge stress for me. Just because a person is pronounced a best surgeon in the republic, does not mean that you have to show a disrespectful attitude towards your self-paying patients. I just hope that patients who are eligible for a quota are treated better.
