This is by far one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in and is superb in every way. The location is just a few minutes from the famous bridge and old town with east access to trams and some close by metro stations. You are welcomed immediately by very friendly staff who make the check in process pleasant. The hotel is a former a monastery and has amazing architecture with some rooms even featuring the original ceiling! The rooms are very large and very comfortable overall. You have a wardrobe to hang your clothes as well as a very nice dresser and large desk. The bed is very comfortable, didn’t want to get out of it!The bathroom is very nice with a large bathtub/shower and heated towel rack. It also had a double sink as well. The gym was very nice with a great selection of free weights and a cable machine for a variety of exercises. The breakfast here is delicious and features both hot options as well as a buffet of cold selections. I was surprised with some sweets in my room as well I arrived! I would definitely come back here again for business or leisure.

This is about the Spices lounge (bar). My husband and I went for drinks in September. OMG. I really wanted a Manhattan. I asked the bartender if he knew how to make one - of course! he replied. Answer should have been: not a clue. I got some alcohol which I believe was scotch, on the rocks, with a twist. I explained that's not a Manhattan, he again acted like he knew that, and came back with the same thing, only with a formaldehyde cherry. My husband doesn't drink alcohol and asked for a mocktail with grapefruit, not too sweet. It was large chunks of grapefruit with the peel, tons of ice, and 7up (or equivalent). These concoctions which were both heinous were not inexpensive. I drank mine like a shot and we left. Note to GM: why don't you see if your bartender knows how to make drinks before you hire him? And I'm sorry if he was subbing for someone, but at those prices, whoever is the sub should know what he's doing OR at least take guidance from the customer (I was fully prepared to tell him how to make the drink but he knew"!). It makes me think MO hotels are a B-class."

An absolutely exceptional stay. Welcomed with drinks, hot towels and a wonderful run down of Prague by Michel. Breakfast was perfect and the staff throughout the hotel were lovely. Room service and housekeeping with turn down service was just what we needed after exploring the city. The location made it even better. Thank you Mandarin Hotel!

Dear (upcoming!) Guests, Observers, and Interested One’s of the Mandarin Oriental, here in Prague.I’d invite you, to step into these doors - Mr. Renner, and his award-winning team at the „very Front-Desk“, will welcome you, as never been before.Even if we’ve been here at a year’s low season, I truly believe, the spirit of this incredible unmatched excellence will stay - they know what they are, and they know what they do…. and the most important thing is, they know how to come up to you, even before you walk into those doors.Thousand Thank You’s - for your smiles, dignity and grace - which you never have lost, in every situation.

Written by a - hopefully not too much demanding guest - in this March of 2023 :-)

We had a fabulous time at the MO in Prague on Friday to celebrate our anniversary. It is our first time at a MO hotel and we would certainly recommend it again. Gorgeous hotel in one of Prague's most beautiful, historic and quiet areas. The grounds and the rooms are beautiful, sparkling clean and elegant. The service is top notch and you can feel that this hotel has a service culture embedded in the staff. We didn't use the spa as we had only one night and wanted to chill out a bit and go out for dinner.Pros:Beautiful Rooms. Very comfortable bed. The room felt very secluded and serene. Personally, I prefer rooms with both a bath and shower and not just a bath as taking a shower in a bath isn't that convenient.Staff service (though see cons)Breakfast was very tasty and great selectionAdditionally, I find the 'Fans of MO' a brilliant concept. Just sign up and choose whatever 2 benefits you want for your stay rather than the usual working up the ladder of statuses to earn benefits.Cons:- The check-in process is over the top. Too long and too formal. I get that it's a top hotel but there was no need to repeat all the details of the booking, my personal details etc. My experience in other 5 stars hotels is that handing over the keys to the guest is the priority and there is no need to verify all the details again if the guest submitted everything online and you collect a copy of their passport to very the guest ID. We felt a bit exhausted at the end of check-in and it could all take a lot less time. Also, when we checked out, a very grumpy receptionist 'demanded' that my wife's CZ driver's license which was copied during check-in wasn't considered a formal ID and that she need another form of ID. We explained that we don't have any and that during check-in, her colleague took a copy of the driving license as he also thought that is sufficient. I must say she was not nice at all and her attitude does not match the one of any other staff member we met during our stay. She eventually 'agreed' to let us show her a copy of my wife's passport she had on her phone. I know this is a 'police requirement' but there is no need to be nasty about it. And if the guest doesn't have another ID, what can we do? Get arrested at the hotel??- Breakfast needs a lot more staff. we waited 20 minutes TWICE to get our coffee during breakfast. The staff all seem to work hard so it's not their fault. Management is clearly working them to the bone and not adding enough waiting staff. Our waitress was visibly 'falling off her feet'. Add more staff! No one should wait so long for food and drinks in the morning. It's not a great start to the day.- It is very disappointing to find that MO, as in other cities 5-star hotels do not offer much of wellness facilities for guests unless they pay extra for it. There were no common grounds offered to the guests. It is pretty common to have a pool, whirlpool, sauna and steam room at hotels, especially luxury ones. We wanted to use the whirlpool and steam room but it can only be booked privately for about 45 EUR per 30 min per facility so to use both (steam and jacuzzi) for 1 hour (well, in and out), you are looking at nearly 200 EUR. We found it quite steep for something that is available in most top hotels for free. I must admit that the private 'vitality bath' does look nicer than a public jacuzzi once it's set up with rose petals and all but again, such private service should be offered in parallel to a 'public' option for all guests.Overall, we loved our stay and will look to come back but the above is my feedback in case other may benefit from this.

An excellent hotel. Tidy, spacious, and comfortable rooms, gym with plenty of options including kettlebells and free weights (had no issue with doing a CrossFit WOD) and free shoe shining service on top of it all.Breakfast buffet had a plentiful deli selection and fresh smoothies. Fresh omelettes and french toast served to tables, just to mention a fee things on breakfast menu.Definitely hoping to visit again!

The Mandarin Oriental Prague is the perfect getaway in this charming city. It is an oasis of tranquility, professional and mindful service, fine dining and perfection in every way. The property itself is spacious, luxurious and very close to all major attractions. From the moment you step inside the hotel you are immediately greeted and taken care of by the wonderful and attentive staff. The room was spotless, quiet, the mattress and pillows incredible comfortable. The Housekeeping did an amazing job with special attention to details like neatly organizing my charging cables. The breakfast and dinner offered anything you could think of (and more) and the team did everything to delight me in every way.Thank you very much for this wonderful experience. You made me feel at home, even when being far away from it.

Clean, peaceful hotel tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Prague. Service was accomodating; we were able to switch from a King bed room to twin beds when requesting the change at check-in. The room itself was spacious and had a picturesque view of the garden. Housekeeping was very detail-oriented and service from the concierge was warm and welcoming. After seeing my DSLR camera, one of them eagerly recommended the best photo spots in the city, marking them down on a physical map that he then handed over. The food at the Spices Restaurant was delicious, but they didn't serve as many Asian dishes as we were hoping, despite being a restaurant serving Asian cuisine. We did, though, have the best club sandwich we've ever eaten. There were no Asian dishes at all for breakfast. My one suggestion would be to incorporate some Asian options, like congee or vegetable stir-fry, to the breakfast menu.

This unique hotel, set in a former monastery is truly an gem, with beautiful rooms and exceptional service. The front desk staff was absolutely fantastic, giving us a warm welcome and attending to our every need. The Concierge gave us some great dinner recommendations as well as perfect suggestions for our exploration of the City. The location is also perfect - we were just a few short blocks from St. Nicholas church and the famous bridge. If you want something unique and upscale, I recommend staying here - and the staff will make it all worth your while.
