Stumbled across this while hiking up to see the Prague castle. Almost walked away from it as the door was closed during the stated opening hours. Thankfully we came back at 7pm. Entrance was 80kc per adult, with two floors of exhibits and a fairly comprehensive introduction to astronomy to the uninitiated. Write ups in English and Czech. Two of the three domes were open (and understandably cold in winter) with impressive telescopes over 100 years old. Visitors can climb on a step ladder to view stars through the eye pieces. There was some difficulty viewing some stars because of the cloudy weather, so checking the weather forecast may useful.

It’s definitely worth a visit. The guides had a nice presentation and they even opened the dome for us to see the sun through the telescope. Also there are interesting facts and activities if you’re into space things.

If you are interested in Astronomy (not Astrology) you are right at that place! The gallery and info museum is so interesting and has a lot of information packed with in it. Also new informations about black holes, gravitational waves, etc are added so the informations are very new!I was blown away how many big meteorites they had!For younger people there are a lot of interactive elements which kids can play with. Very well made!Telescopes:We visited the telescopes in the day so we 'just' saw the planets. But it was a great experience to actually see planers during the daylight! :0 The telescopes are pretty old but they work well enough. The service at thoose telescopes was good but the people had difficulties in speaking English. They didn't know enough words for a further discussion about astronomy. A little bit disappointed but it was worth a visit overall!

What a great experience. It is not like any other museum in Prague. The staff wil turn the domes and explore the skies with you via the telescopes. Most speak very good English and others will help you as best as they can.

Amazing experience, staff is very nice, friendly, they speak really good English as well. They are helping everyone to understand and learn new things.First we observed Jupiter on one telescope, then Moon and Jupiter on the 2nd one, then some nebula and stars from Libra constellation on the first one. Really great experience for such low amount of money.

If you like astronomy, this is the right place to be.The staff is very kind and they are talking english very well so they will explain every thing that you want to know.We were here on day light so we couldn t explore the sky, just the sun.One member of the staff was drawing a map of the sun with some solar eruptions exposed.

A great place to visit with kids over eight years of age. The exhibits are informative but require a good bit of reading. The text is in Czech and English which is nice. There are also hands on exhibits like the telescope and the meteors, both were very nice.

Open to public. You can see the Sun using main telescope during the daytime, stars and the Moon during nighttime (7-9pm).There is moon landing exhibition, star stones showcasing (you can touch moon stone there) and much more. Ask local stuff for help.On first floor, there is a science exhibition dedicated to light, light sources, optics, etc.My recommendation would be to join it with watch tower visit and than you can continue to Prague Castle.

I have not entered here, since I could not understand whether this is a restricted place or allowed for public as well. Would very much want to enter too see astronomical exhibits. Nonetheless, the place is well maintained with very nice garden. Hope to come back once again.
