Very beautiful luxury hotel with SPA facilities. The room was big and comfortable,so as Tthe bed. Restaurant has top quality, very tasty meals and good offer of wines. The breakfast is very various, from the fruits, pancakes, french toasts to the meat dishes. Interior of the hotel is very beautiful and luxury.

Payment options at check out only limited - unlike booking, not the same card payments are accepted. amex denied.-Water in the bathroom was poor, there was very little water coming out of the tap and the temperature was constantly changing, even in a historic house this should be possible. After all, we had booked a suite, so you should expect this...The check-in and check-out were relatively cold and uninterested, one felt only dispatched.

Nice location. You can drive right up to the hotel (same route as to Hluboka nad vltavou castle) - satnav won’t lead you the right way. Rooms are bit dated (see photos), reception staff looks bored and does bare minimum hence stars down. Internet only works at the hotel lobby not in the rooms - again when told reception won’t do anything about it. Wellness area is nice, pool looks much bigger on the photos but still pleasant. Hotel restaurant serves decent food, drinks not up to the standard you would expect at prime location.Overall not good value for the money.

One word says it all - disappointing. We got a much worse room we paid for and that was on the pictures. The room and its equipment was so old and inadequate, there is mold on the walls. There was no privacy at all in the room, unless we close the curtains, everybody could see inside - unbelievable. The restaurant was not good either - nothing high class. Standard Czech pub is better. Soup was completely tasteless - i sent i back, the cook laught (we could see him in the kitchen. Professionalism at its best. Shame.

The hotel provides the guests with free access to spa (jacuzzi, swimming pool, etc.) as well with bathrobes and slippers you can use. Strongly recommending to pack in your bags swimming slippers should you plan a visit to the spa.Breakfast offer is great as it ranges from cereals, freshly made omelettes on spot, cold cuts, fruit, veggies, etc.Free parking is a plus as well.The attic rooms are a bit tricky for tall people.On the downside, there is no safe box within the room, however we felt safe all the time while we stayed there. Our favorite part remains the spa area. Thank you, Hotel Stekl.

I would say virtually all staff was friendly and helpful. Only on our first day, the lady at the front desk didn’t give much explanation when we asked about availability of a higher grade accommodation.Wellness spa is good. Please be aware of slippery wet areas. Although floor tiles have some good grip, one lady fell on the floor while we were there.

They do not honor vouchers legitimately paid for. We tried to book many times, twice we couldn’t visit due to COVID, and once we tried to reserve but they never got back to us as they were renovating for months. So effectively they just steal your money. Their reasoning for not honoring our voucher was pointless, they’re just rude. Don’t buy a voucher for here!!!

Hotel facilities and breakfast were really good. The 4 star is due to wrong information we got at check in concerning restaurant closing of the kitchen, they entrones it had happen before, but they didn’t offer to cook something even for the kids.
