Wonderful opera house.Historically famous building.Notable for excellent opera performances.This week i attended 2 sensational productions....Jenufa and Carmen.Seat prices are heavily subsidized.....so relatively cheap!!Once again I'm in Prague and just attended tge new production of Katya Kavanova FABULOUSTonight was a really good Carmen 19/11/2022.11/2/2023..Mind blowing performance of Jenufa. Thus has to be one of the greatest performances of all time.I am here again 10/6/2023 . Terrific performance of a Dvorak opera ArmidaI love this place.

I went to see the ballet version Cinderella here. The building itself is beautiful with noteworthy statues on the roof terrace. Inside, the seats are set at a very steep incline so that even our very high up seats had a perfect view of the stage. I highly recommend coming to see a show here if you can. The ballet tickets were cheap (about €16) and it was a brilliant performance!

The National Theatre belongs to the most important Czech cultural institutions, with a rich artistic tradition, which helped to preserve and develop the most important features of the nation–the Czech language and a sense for a Czech musical and dramatic way of thinking.Today the National Theatre consists of three artistic ensembles: opera, ballet and drama. They alternate in their performances in the historic building of the National Theatre, in the Theatre of the Estates and in the Kolowrat Theatre. All three artistic ensembles select their repertoire both from classical heritage, and modern authors.

Beautiful old, historic theater on the boarder of old town and New Town in Prague. Seeing an opera on Prague is a necessary experience and the National Theater is likely the best venue for it.The acoustics on the space were great even at the upper balcony and the theater had a subtitle screen that was very visible, making it easy to follow along.

What an amazing place! We are here to see beauty and the beast and we are very excited. People are dressed for the occasion which iou might also want to be. You can buy drinks and small snacks inside the entrance.

It is just very, very beautiful and grandiose. Attended Bizet's Carmen, which was really spectacular.English and Czech translations are shown above the stage.Nice view from the outside balcony. Overall great experience.

Prague National Theater is a theater in Prague, Czech Republic. Established in 1881, this theater has a capacity of 986 people and hosts music concerts, theater and ballet performances and more! I will be back. Loved the shows so far. It was amazing experience!

I saw Bizet's Carmen here. The theatre is very beautiful. However, the sound system must not have been adjusted properly. Most of the time, the singers were being drowned out by the orchestra. It was a little disappointing, but it was still a good production.
