Cafe KávOkno

Sharp, cold and crisp. That was the feeling in my throat when I woke up that morning. I was confident in my use of Google maps that I would find the perfect flat white coffee.I was in a group of 16 and I picked out five of the finest people that I knew would have the pallet for the perfect flat white. Just like the pied piper, they answered my call and off we went.On the walk down, I realised one of my merry men, let's call him Oliver, started to complain about the walk but we powered on knowing what lay ahead.As we walked down, we saw a McDonalds to our left and people started to lose confidence and we almost caved to the corporate coffee. Another follower, let's call him Curtis, pulled us all together for the final 200 yards to the famous Cafe KavOkno.As we approached, we could smell the batch of the day roast, Rusty Nails from Kenya. It was at this point that Oliver realised he did not like coffee but he still soildered on understanding the assignment.We entered the seating area and admired the tiled floor. As I clasped onto the handle of the door, we realised we were in the hallway of a residential apartment. Undeterred, we read the sign which read, 'Order through the window'.We each ordered flat white and one of us ordered it with oat milk just so we could sample the difference of flavour between oat and cow. We were pleasantly surprised that the oat milk was at no extra cost.True to form, from previous reviews, the coffee machine was a thing of beauty and Aeropress has nothing in this.George Clooney can keep his Nespresso.I digress, the coffee was served in recyclable cups for all you environmentalists out there. The texture was perfect, and the coffee aligned seamlessly with the top of the cup. The ratio of froth was something quite extraordinary. On the count of 3, we raised our arms and ensuring perfect symmetry, sampled the sweet nectar of delight that is the coffee of Cafe KavOkno.

As a former barista I can say that this was the only place in all of Prague where they know how to make perfect speciality coffee. We ordered flat white and ice latte. Coffee crema, temperature, latte art and most importantly balance and taste were all 10/10. Also very kind english service. Thank you again! Other cafes we went to didn't even compare.

Adorable cafe with a walk up window. Cappuccino and pistachio croissant were so delicious and beautifully prepared.

They have oatly - which is great. But my cappuccino had a very weak shot of espresso + too much milk, so it didn't taste like coffee at all. XD Hope you'll improve <3

Great enthusiastic team serves you awesome 3rd wave results. 50sec preinfusion for Espresso (current roast) on Mirage, excellent mouth feeling. Batchbrew is fruity and perfectly executed as well. Better then V60 or Aeropress in other shop.Very kind! Highly recommended
