Botel Vodník

We visited the hotel for a weekend. We paid extra for a parking slot so that we don't need to look for one and have a bit more security. During the night, an advertising company was making changes to one advertising board just above our car. On Monday we found out that a small metal piece fall on to our windscreen and cracked it (about 40cm crack along the windshield). We notified the hotel which come in touch with the company. We made fotos, write a report and begin our trip back to Germany. All that time the hotel personel was very helpfull. We kept contact per telephone but with no progress. Every time we got the feedback from the hotel that they were in contact with people from the advertising company, they forwarded photos and the report but we never really got any contact data (tel or email). Hotel didn't even react to our emails. At the end the bill of 1200€ for the repair we had to cover. Not that sure that after we left anyone really cared. Advertising company also did not reply to our enquiries.

If you look for a spotless place you should rather avoid this hotel. But if you like original accommodation with soul you will be very satisfied with your stay here.Amazing experience, you have a perfect river view just laying in your bed or eating breakfast upstairs. Even such drawbacks like old decoration, quite old school reception or not perfectly clean windows does not matter afterwards.

Amazing stay at an amazing botel. The staff is very friendly and kind, the breakfast is just amazing we even had a chocolate fountain some days, absolutely delicious, great view and very accessible by car or public transport. I will surely come again to visit the Vodník!

Breakfast was good. It stopped at that.When we requested a room with a river view on the website, they said okay. When we arrived, they gave us a room facing the road and trees. They didn't honour their promise and didn't apologise for failing to show good hospitality.On the first day that we should have had a good night sleep, someone at the rooftop blasted metal songs consecutively for two hours. I suspected the staff fell asleep up there while listening to the music.The next day, when I asked the reception, the guy only said that there were rowdy guests partying on the rooftop and ignored the botel's advice. That's a lie because I didn't hear any sound of people chatting.They didn't even bother to apologise.Sound proofing at this botel is terrible, you could even hear the stomping of the footsteps.And the toilet. Omg. It's very small that if you lift up your elbow and turn your body, chances are you will hit the wall. Don't get me started on the flooding. Terrible. The size of the toilet certainly is not for big built ans tall westerners.Although the botel means it sits by the river, but you hardly get that experience, unless your room is facing the river or when you hang out at the rooftop.There's a lot of other hotels near the tram. Since the tram in Prague is efficient and extensive, I suggest you stay elsewhere and especially if you need a goodnight sleep.

I wanna say thank you so much especially from PhDr. Radek Suda for the hospitality. It was the nicest experience and service we've ever had while traveling. We were staying there on May 25th 2022 and indeed we will stay there again. Success for you guys!

Breakfast was really good and location is fine, but everything else was disappointing. Wi-fi only works near the reception. We had to change rooms because it was down the hallway and we couldn't get signal. In the new room, they couldn't find the AC remote. There was constant sound of water dripping somewhere in the ceiling and both rooms could use a deep cleaning.

The botel is only a 5 minute walk from the metro station and is very well connected to everywhere in the city even in the middle of the night. If you are lucky enough to get the river view rooms, the morning view is super nice. Very friendly staff at the reception. Clean rooms and great value for money. The breakfast buffet is also really, really good.
