a wonderful place with homemade, delicious food (I recommend young bull tartare and grilled steak and smoked pork neck) and a family atmosphere and friendly service. One of the better restaurants in the area.

Enormous portions, excellent and friendly service service accompanied with a hunting lodge atmosphere and fair prices. We had the whole deal - starters, main and desserts. Each one fully justified the overeating. You will be very happy you’ve come here.

I have been today in this restaurant. Not only they were super friendly, the young guy spoke English and they are really dog-friendly. The food was mind-blowing. I ate a Mozzarella salad that was tasty and a salmon with potatoes that was perfect. I haven't eaten a proper fresh salmon for while. Salmon has to be well done to be tasty and this one was delicious. I definitely recommend it and I will come back this week again :)

One of the best restaurants in the area. My wife and I dined at several of the restaurants in town, and came across this place on our way back from a hike. The rabbit with garlic sauce beat everything else I tried during our time here, and the atmosphere and service were excellent too. Definitely get one of their soups as well.

This restaurant is nicely located near the centre of Velká Úpa and it had a quiet nice interior, for the fans of hunting trophies. The staff was also very nice.I came here as a lone vegetarian in a group of meat eaters, so i knew that this restaurant was primarily for meat eaters, but i was kind of disappointed to find that it offered only two or three vegetarian options. So i ordered a basic salad and it wasn't even that good, it was too salty and expensive.

Such friendly and helpful staff with great food. Please support them during this difficult time. The terrace is amazing even during this cold winter. Stop by for some hot drink/soup that can be ordered from the window. Would come back for this restaurant :)

Unfortunately not our type of food. Very long waiting time, unfriendly waiter not even aiming to help us understand the menu or recommend some fresh main courses and after eating- all of us get strong stomachache.The smell of some dishes was weirdly sour and not fresh for sure. Duck leg was dry without any taste. I was surprised that after so many great options we all get almost unbeatable food.Very disappointing experience
