The old consul was nice. The new one is rude and unqualified for the job, not knowing which documents are required aha asking for fictitious ones Bucharest didn't even request. Nothing new that a bureaucrat is given a job by his uncle or friend and lacks any competence or ability to handle the public.

I had a positive experience. The consul was working in parallel, advising requesters to prepare the documents get additional documents if necessary. For me it was very painless to get the power of attorney, they drafted it really quick based on my request and I was in and out in about 30 minutes.

Representative of the Romanian bureaucracy. You get to wait till the person behind the glass thinks you should, even if you come with an appointment. You're told to sit down and shut up.
