I used to live there as a student. Very nice place, very quite city. Not far away from Prague. Actually by the train it is only 15 min to get to the center of Prague.

Ok but thats it. Showers are horrible, hardly any water coming out, you need to hold the showerhead in your hand as there is nothing to put it on. At least saves water

With price above average I expected services above average. I was wrong.Food - OK at best, but terrible soup.Waitresses - only good thing about them is that they are not slow.Lights - too dim.Tables and chairs - uncomfortable.Menu - bring a magnifying glass.If their pricing wasn't shooting two categories above their services (so it would be average) then I would give a 3-4 star rating.I can't recommend and I won't visit again.

Pros:- The location was excellent and the hotel has stunning views of the Milovský rybnik!- Comfortable and spacious room. Our bathroom was spotlessly clean :)- We had half-board and I must admit it was just ok (We previously stayed at OREA Resort Horizont Šumava and it is impossible no to compare both hotels from the same chain). The options for breakfast/dinner buffet were fine but there is definitely a space for improvement.- Modern TV with connection to Youtube and Netflix- There was tea/coffee maker and small refrigerator in our room.- The WiFi worked perfectly fine- Baby coat with nice lining included.- Staff at the reception & dinning room were very polite and accommodating. They made us feel very welcome.- I tried the anti-stress massage and the Filipina masseuse was absolutely extraordinary.- The lobby bar had a relaxing environment and great drinking options (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic).- Private parking- Plenty of hiking trails and maps are available to explore nearby places.Cons:- No bathrobe provided- We booked two connected rooms and in none of them the safe boxes were working.- The balconies in both our rooms were full of spider webs.- The pillows were very very soft- I do not understand how is it possible that in OREA Resort Horizont Šumava the drinks are included in the overall price but in this hotel you have to pay for the drinks later on ?- In the second day during our stay, we tried resting in the afternoon but it was impossible (we were able to hear the loud voices, the phones ringing and hover of the cleaning ladies).- The closing system of the main room doors is definitely not sound proof at all (no matter how careful a person can be, the doors are quite a noisy and ear-splitting while being closed).

We recently had a wedding at this hotel. They have a wonderfully picturesque island next to the hotel that is accessible via a little bridge.The event was fantastic! We were very well taken care of by the staff and especially Mr. František who made sure that the event went smoothly, he took care of our needs throughout the evening and nothing was ever a problem. He was kind, efficient, and very pleasant!The rooms are large and comfortable, the food is very good and the atmosphere is delightful.Mr. Bautkin, the manager of the hotel, was very friendly, helpful and insightful when it came to the organization of the wedding.Great experience overall. We had 93 guests. Weather turned out perfectly and we hope to return again to celebrate our anniversary!Good value establishment and good quality/price balance.

If you are ok with Soviet customer service and their only restaurant closing at 8pm then this is your place. Keep your expectations low and dont mind the fungus in the `spa` area.We were placed in a lower category room then the one we booked. The concierge response was shrugging his shoulders and informing us that they are full so they cannot place us in the room that we had actually booked. Unreal..It really is a sub-par Eastern European standard hotel with sub-par Eastern European style service.Dont go if you are looking for Wellness, good food and service.Never again.
